National Thank You Day Photo Contest Brought To You By Toblerone

For me, everyday should be a day full of gratitude despite of the problems we encounter. Saying of thanks have evolved through out the years, from “Thank You” to a shorter “Thanks” to a much shorter “TY”, to the text-speak “Tnx”, to the LOL-cat speak inspired “Thx” and the list goes on.

And for us to be reminded that it is not only on the “National Thank You Day” that we should say thanks, Toblerone started the “National Thank You Day”, a day that should be full of sweetness like taking a bite of that luscious chocolate. Rocked’s No To Con-Ass Silent Protest and the Rally at Ayala Ave.

Rocked No to Con-ass 2

Last week, a silent protest was held at Baywalk. The protest was lead by Rocked Philippines and even though there were few who attended, I’m glad to be part of it. The tarps were shown in the photo above where used in the rally last Wednesday at Ayala Ave. Continue reading “Rocked’s No To Con-Ass Silent Protest and the Rally at Ayala Ave.”

SM City North EDSA’s Sky Garden

IMG_3061

It feels like that every time I go back to SM City North EDSA, there would be changes. Going to different parts of SM City North EDSA is like traveling through time. It’s like going back to high school days when you’re in the oldest part of SM. When you go to The Block or to the CyberZone, you’ll see the refreshing modern look. And now, here comes the Sky Garden, a combination of the now and nature which I find attractive in the midst of the busy EDSA. Continue reading “SM City North EDSA’s Sky Garden”

Ako Mismo!

UPDATE: Maxene Magalona posted her statement on Facebook regarding Ako Mismo Campaign. Please read it on her note. Thanks to Jim Ayson for the tip.

While I was watching the delayed telecast of Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton’s fight, I saw the Ako Mismo ad on TV. It was actually surprising to see Ely Buendia there in the ad itself. I remember Gang Badoy of RockEd Philippines once wrote in an article that Ely Buendia has this certain charisma that every politician wished for. Continue reading “Ako Mismo!”

Bye Lola

Sunset experiment

It has been a week since Lola Pining passed away. I remember when we were still kids, Lola was our guardian every time Dad went out of town for work. It has been always like that until we became older. Lola would usually pour her cup of coffee on her rice during breakfast which I think some may find weird like when I dipped pandesal into my glass of Coca-Cola. Continue reading “Bye Lola”

Russ Swift: One Really Good Driver

Just last Thursday, I had a chance to watch Russ Swift (Guiness World Record holder) at the Manila International Auto Show that’s currently being held at the World Trade Center. He’s such an awesome precision driver. I can’t think of getting myself to drive to parallel park just the way he did it. Continue reading “Russ Swift: One Really Good Driver”

Ipanema and Haribon Walkathon: I Walked the Green Mile

People who know me well would get startled that I participated in a walkathon event because my main physical activities (the ones that I do on a daily basis) are: getting up from bed, walking towards the fridge and some computer-related stuff like typing, moving the mouse and so on. Before the walkathon, I was quite nervous how long are we supposed to walk. However, such thought didn’t discourage me from joining the walkathon. I joined because I want to be one of those building awareness on the destruction of Philippine rainforests. Continue reading “Ipanema and Haribon Walkathon: I Walked the Green Mile”

Meeting BB Gandanghari

BB Gandanghari

Rustom Padilla is dead spread all over the internet via blogs, YouTube, social networking sites and microblogging sites. With the death of Rustom, Bebe Gandanghari was born. During the blogger’s meet-up hosted by The POC at mag:net Bonifacio High Street, me and Sha did live-blogging there. Sha was in-charge of the text, while I took photos. 😀 Continue reading “Meeting BB Gandanghari”
