IveBeenHere, is a Facebook app that I’ve worked on with Melvin Vivas. The app aims to promote Philippine tourism. It is an interactive Facebook app that utilizes Facebook features such as the publishing a feed story to a user’s profile every time an app user tags a place that he/she has been to or a place that he/she wants to go to, and other activities such as sharing photos from a Facebook album to a particular place, comments/reviews you made on a place and seeing the activity feed of your friends who have added the app on the home page of the app. Continue reading “IveBeenHere got featured in Inquirer.net”

Pupil’s new website
I woke up to the news of Pupil’s official website is finally up. I remember before that the domain name was pupilopolis.com but yeah, I think they had some problems with renewing the domain name which they refer to as a “bad case of organizational astigmatism”. The iPlurk App
The iPlurk app is the only Plurk app for iPod Touch and the iPhone that’s available in the App Store. I’ve already made a few tests on it. I bet the iPhone owners (because it has a camera) would love the feature Upload a photo.
Below is a screenshot of the iPlurk app interface when you post a new plurk, edit an existing plurk or respond to a plurk.
I was hoping that the app could be free. Anyway, the app costs $1.99. And oh, I haven’t found a blog post about in on the official blog Plurk.com.
SkyCable Digibox
Last November 14, I attended a SkyCable Digibox briefing for bloggers which was held at Intercontinental Hotel in Makati City. The Digibox was actually available way before this event so I have a pretty good idea of what it is like. But when it was demoed to us, cool features were showed that I did not know before. Before, All I know is that I know that it shows the title of the program of the current show and the next show alongside with its air time. Continue reading “SkyCable Digibox”
WordCamp 2008 Philippines
I got up early even if I slept late already from Oktoberfest and the thing is, I was sleepy the whole time when I was on my way to College of Saint Benilde. I haven’t went to Taft Avenue for a long time already. The last time I went there before WordCamp was when I was going to have a technical presentation for Society of Manufacturing Engineers at DLSU a year ago or so. Eraserheads Reunion Concert Live Updates
I’ve coded something so that I could update those who won’t be able to watch the Eraserheads concert but wants to. 🙂 “Please check out Eraserheads Reunion Concert Live!”. I’ll be posting there via SMS using PHPlurk.com‘s gateway.
Last.FM API experiment
I had an experiment with Last.FM’s API. I used Simple XML and PHP and I accessed an XML web service. You can check out the experiment in Banda.PH‘s Top 20 Pinoy Rock Songs. So, it does not necessarily mean that the songs listed in the page are actually the top 20 Pinoy Rock songs. This is just based from the data from Last.FM with the tag “pinoy rock”.
Infinitube
Infinitube is a new web toy built by Luis. He used Ruby on Rails, YouTube-GG Ruby Gem and YouTube’s Javascript API. He made this app in 8 hours. Well, as for me, we have a TV on our living room but I’m not comfortable using my laptop there since the height of the table will pose future posture problems. 😀 So, the only entertainment that I got here in my room is playing iTunes and playing a PSP game. With this new web toy built by Luis, I can watch something without leaving my room. 😀
Let’s go to WordCamp Philippines 2008
I’m excited about the upcoming WordCamp Philippines 2008 because Matt Mullenweg is coming! 😀 The conference will be held at DLS-College of Saint Benilde on September 6, 2008. The list of speakers are not yet finalized but the topics are interesting and would cater from beginner to advanced WordPress users. Continue reading “Let’s go to WordCamp Philippines 2008”
Share your Timeline with Dipity
Best of Rock Timeline
I went to Dipity.com after Manuel Viloria posted his Dipity Timeline in Plurk. Upon registering, you could create several timelines. You could share your online lifestream (something like Friendfeed). What’s interesting about this is that it’s collaborative as well like Wikipedia. It would be interesting to have a timeline at Dipity on Philippine Blogging Events and Highlights. What do you think?
