Since I’ve started playing Words on Tour by Zynga on iOS, I haven’t explored any new games lately. Suddenly, my friend Vanessa introduced me to That’s So Random. The game was developed by UglyBread Games, an indie game development studio based in Toronto, Canada. Continue reading “That’s So Random iOS Game Review”
While most of the people around me are using a dSLR, I opted to test the Canon Powershot G15 in a concert organized by RockEd Philippines last November. The Canon PowerShot G15 is way different from its predecessor. It’s widest end (focal length) is at f/1.8 while it’s farthest end is at f/2.8 which is pretty good for taking pictures in low-light.
Here are some of the photos that I took during the concert.
The picture below shows how near I am to the stage. This camera is good if you’re really close to the stage. Otherwise, it’s better to have a camera with you that has a longer focal length.
I’m pleased with the performance of this camera. For a big concert like this with a long line-up, the camera survived even if I recorded some videos with it too.
Check out the full set here.
Mashable refers NuevoStage as a Groupon for Concerts. NuevoStage is for bands who would like to book for gigs. The band will have to rely on “buyer participation” to get a gig. For instance, if a band will get 50 ticket buyers, the show will go on and the fans’ credit cards will be charged respectively. However, if a band will get less than 50 ticket buyers, the show won’t push through and the fans’ credit cards won’t be charged. Continue reading “NuevoStage: Booking Service for Bands”
In my recent visit to Power Mac GB3, I found out that Urbandub will perform live in some stores of Apple resellers. It’s interesting to see how they will perform live using an iPod Touch because I’m used to seeing Lalay and John jumping on the stage with their respective bass guitar and electric guitar. Read more for the Urbandub’s schedule. Continue reading “Urbandub to perform live using an iPod Touch”

I did a test drive of my Canon EOS 500D last weekend at Caliraya Recreation Center. The photo above was taken using a Canon EFS 55-250mm f/4-f/5.6 IS using Aperture Priority with the white balance set to Auto. So far, I like the results on how the color of the image above turned out. Continue reading “Canon EOS 500D Test #1: Landscapes”
