Aglicay Beach Resort is located at Barangay Comod-om in the Municipality of Alcantara, Tablas Island, Romblon. We only spent half day there since we had to go back to Manila already. There are a lot of ways to go there. We took the tricycle ride from Looc. 😀 And if you plan to stay there overnight, take a look at the room rates.
For the day trip, you will only pay an entrance fee of PhP 40(per person) and pay the usage of the kiosk. We chose the small kiosk since we’re just a small group (priced at PhP 70). There’s no corkage fee there unlike other resorts. Thus, you may bring food there. 😀
The sand is not that fine. You should be careful walking without your sandals or slippers at the beach because of the hermit crabs and possibly a lost crab. 😀
The waves are strong when we went there. Apparently this is because of the north eastern wind. When waves are strong, it is advised that you should not go away far from the shoreline especially if there’s no lifeguard present.
The food is quite so-so for its price. The selection of viands may be limited because of there’s nothing else to cook.
The Small Kiosk
The small kiosk is good enough for 4 to 6 people. There is a tree for each small and medium-sized kiosks that serve as a shade from the heat of the sun.
For those going there for day trip, you have to take a shower outside the bathroom. It would be nice if they have provided shower curtains even if the shower area is outside.
