I still have 14 drinks to go in order to get the Starbucks Planner. Thanks to Yey, Normz and Billie for contributing three stickers on my stub. Yey had a Tazo Tea while Normz had a Mocha Frap and Billie had a Peppermint Mocha. Billie is indeed a lifesaver because I do not like Peppermint Mocha. Just by hearing the name Peppermint Mocha, is like murdering my taste buds already. According to my friend Paul, it’s like you’re chewing Mentos (or any mint-flavored candy) while drinking coffee. You might be wondering why the Planner is worthy of buying 21 drinks from Starbucks.
The Starbucks Planner is not your ordinary planner where it has a day and month and other stuff that can be found in a usual planner. It has postcards with really good artwork. But if you’re not an artsy person, I guess you won’t be able to appreciate it. Also, the big catch here is the gift cheques. For example, for the year 2005, at a certain day and month, you will be allowed to use your gift cheque which means, free drink!!! It has 21 gift cheques if I’m not mistaken. It’s like you’re buying 21 free drinks in advance. Hehe!
By the way, if you have dropped by at Starbucks Taft, you may have seen Amber there. She’s a barista at Starbucks Taft and we’ve had some chit chats there because before I graduated from College, I was there either to study or to hang out with some friends. She already resigned and her last day at Taft will be this Friday. She will surely be missed by our group. And as she said on our last conversation,
“May Friendster naman eh!”
Oh yeah, I completely forgot about Friendster. My hype for the online networking community faded just a few months ago. Now, I haven’t typed the names of my friends that are not on my list yet. I haven’t checked the profiles of my friends to check if we have some common friends that we don’t know. Also, I haven’t read the surveys and the chain letters posted at the bulletin board. I guess I will just be logging in everytime I will receive a notification saying that you have just received from so and so only to find out that that person have pictures of celebrities. So much of Friendster hype, I had enough of my dosage.
