This is the second part of the Dear (insert a name here) series. Our letter sender for this day is C/Pvt. Ryan. He is a soldier from Florida and he does not want to disclose his age because his colleagues will know which Ryan he is.

Dear GI Joe,

I’ve been watching GI Joe several years back. The cartoon series influenced me in such a way that I decided to become a soldier like you. Recently, I read the story of George Lindemann, Jr. and I became frustrated because I could have been the 6th richest man in Florida. It’s all your fault GI Joe.

Sincerely,
C/Pvt. Ryan

Here is the first part of the Dear (insert name here) series. Apparently, this is the effect of drinking Ginebra GSM Blue with pineapple juice as chaser and some wine. Our letter sender for today is depressed for the reason that guys would walk away from her after seeing her.

Dear Manang Bola,

I am 28 years old from Alabang gilid. Everytime I go to the beach and wear two-piece guys will walk away from me. Actually, this also happens even if I’m just in my casual wear. I noticed that they are not looking at my face but at my breasts instead just right before they walk away.

Does this mean that I need to have breast augmentation? If you could give me some breast augmentation information I’d be so thankful for that.

Sincerely,
Alabang Gilider

I just watched the Cheers commercial in YouTube and it totally cracked me up. Thanks to Melvin for the link :D. Anyway, the concept of the ad is simple yet it’s catchy in a viral kind of manner. Indeed, laughter is so contagious that you want to share it with other people. (more…)

Opus Deli

My Singapore trip would not be complete without having a glimpse of unusual finds there. After having dinner with Melvin, Jared and his brother, they told me that there’s an establishment which is also located on the same food court that has a name of Opus Deli. We went there and took a photo of it.

This video was taken at The Festival Mall at Alabang (near Teriyaki Boy) using my mobile phone. Forgive me for the quality of the video anyways. The entertainer (standing on a platform) has paint all over him making him look like a statue. Thus, at first, I thought it was a real statue until somebody put some coins inside the box. Right after that, he started dancing and doing some RoboCop dance moves. He would also interact with the audience asking anyone to shake hands with him, or ask someone to give him a high five.

He would have a very nice career in Wow Mali. Wow Mali could have different segments of the entertainer slash fake statue guy. Other than malls, you could put him somewhere in other crowded places such as FX terminals and the like.

When I was a kid, I would usually watch water drops race on the car windows especially if I do not feel like sleeping or if I do not see anything interesting to look at. I had a random thought just this afternoon, while reliving the good old days of watching the water drops race on the car window. I just thought that what if someone would make an animation short about it. Okay, let’s say that I am going to make an animation short about it. Read more for the story. (more…)

When I was along EDSA going to a client call I saw a big sign at Caltex. The sign says, “Effective May 17 this site will undergo minor surgery”. As soon as I finished reading, I read it again since I thought that I was having hallucinations. And when I was able to confirm that I was not having such, I realized that I should have brought my camera with me. I even sent an SMS to some of my friends and colleagues that also loves spotting one-of-a-kind signs and taking pictures of it. One replied that we should all be thankful that it was not having a bypass surgery. The other one replied that they should have used the word renovation. And a shocked friend asked me if it is really for real. The idea of going back just to take a picture of that sign lured me. If by any chance you pass by EDSA (the side of EDSA going north), just look for that sign at Caltex.

Plane rides can be tough. And if you are the type of person who would throw up even if there is no turbulence or whatever that would cause to transform the airplane to a roller coaster ride rather than the normal thing, what you need is a bag especially made for something that would smell like what you have eaten earlier and the only difference is that it is somewhat in its expired state.
