SongBird is an open source media player developed by Mozilla that is mashed up with the web. It’s not just a player. It’s also a platform. SongBird is still in its 0.5 version. Maybe when version 1.0 comes out, I’ll install this. For the mean time, I’d like to share to you some useful add-ons if you’re shifting from iTunes. (more…)

Heard of MixWit? I just heard of it in this TechCrunch blog post. MixWit allows you to create custom music playlists by searching for an artist or a title of a song (search is powered by SeeqPod) and then you drag the songs to an area. What’s good about it is that it determines if the audio you dragged is not available anymore.
Aside from the built-in music search, you could simply add tracks by adding the URL of the mp3 file.

You have a band, and you play really good music. The problem is, only a few people were exposed to the music. With the internet, you could spread your music easily.
There are a lot of ways to promote your band online. Here are some list of websites to do that:

Banda.PH is my photo blog dedicated to Philippine bands. I used the Hemingway theme for it and customize it a bit so that it would only show one blog post. Originally, the theme was designed to have two posts that are placed side-by-side. Then, instead of choosing the Wordpress tags to appear on the footer, I placed it on a page by customizing the theme. The pages and the posts were indexed easily by Google. Thanks to Google’s Webmaster Tools.

We had a Christmas party at Grappa’s Greenbelt 3. Aside from eating till we get really full and aside from drinking beer and tequila, we got some Christmas gifts. Thanks to Luis, Hunter and Hans.
I got an iSound and it’s a mini speaker for iPod (that looks like a Lego block) and it works with all kinds of iPod. Check out my Multiply for pictures.
I’ve stumbled upon a new Philippine music website called Musik Lokal. As a website designer/developer, I do not think that the website would offer a great user experience. However, as a music lover and a supporter of Original Pilipino Music, I know that they have good objectives in setting up the said website. (more…)

Last Monday night I was able to attend the Google Tech Talk and I was able to bump into some bloggers there.
I was not able to bring my camera since I was told about the event on the same day itself. Hah! Anyway, I did not expect that CliqueBooth will be there.

Since iPod touch has been released, I’ve been drooling over it in the Apple website and checking the guided tours and reading stuff about it. I love the user experience that has been offered by iPod touch. I just got myself (advanced Christmas gift to myself) an 8GB iPod touch with a 3 percent discount from the Apple store in Greenbelt 3. I was tempted to order one in eBay but there are a lot of fake gadgets. Thus, I did not take the risk in paying for a ripped off gadget. (more…)
