After the SEMCon 2007, I met up with my friends and watched Stardust! Stardust is based on Neil Gaiman’s novel (published in 1998) of the same title. I was not able to read the novel but my movie buddy told me that it was the only fantasy/love story from Neil Gaiman. Anyway, I’m not really sure if the film did justice to what Gaiman originally wrote in the novel but for me, the movie is a must-see. Seeing the film is a mind-blowing experience. So far, this is the best film that I’ve watched this October.
My movie buddy told me that she was about to told me that the guy will be the King. Haha! Good thing that she did not tell me. OMG! Did I just make a spoiler? Hehe.
The Review
The pacing of the movie is just right, not too fast and not too slow. It was not boring to watch. And I guess Jayvee Fernandez was right about his presentation of Effective Web Copywriting when he mentioned Neil Gaiman as one of the authors who have this certain rhythm where one would certainly turn the pages unless there’s no more page left to turn to.
The movie is basically just like that. It has this certain rhythm where I was glued to the screen until the end.

The book’s so much better than the movie. Also, Neil Gaiman wrote The Dream Hunters, & that was a love story as well.
