Barfly is a three-piece new school punk rock and pop rock band. The band consists of Owen Formento (vocalist and guitarist), Perry Jocson (bassist) and Bennii Obana (drums). Surely, girls will go gaga with the first runner-up Mr. International Philippines, ramp and print model turned rockstar. The band surely does not only have the pogi points in the physical department. Listen to their music and you’ll know what I mean.

Check out their gigs this March:
March 3 - Fly Night @ Freedom Bar
March 17 - 6 Underground, Carlos Palanca Makati
March 23 - Miriam College @ Crossroad 77, Mother Ignacia QC
March 24 - 6 Underground, Carlos Palanca Makati

They’ve already finished recording their debut album and their music video is already up in YouTube. Thanks to Ryan for the information. :)

I was just browsing through my Yahoo! Messenger contacts and when I saw Tani’s (Narda’s guitarist) status message, I was shocked. Yes, even before I got to read it in the mailing list, Narda is disbanding and with that, they’ll be having a farewell gig on April 12 in Saguijo and as well as the launch of their music video Gasolina. It is interesting to see that Gloria Gamat is currently on the 2nd spot of the top prolific bloggers list of Bill Belew. He’s on the search for the top 100 most prolific bloggers (the ones that significantly contribute content to the blogosphere).

Here is the top 6 as of this date and time:

1. Ellen Weber - BrainBasedBusiness

2. Gloria Gamat - PharmaGazette

3. Razib Ahmed - SouthAsiaBiz

4. Marshall Sponder - WebMetricsGuru

5. Darren Rowse - ProBlogger

6. Bill Belew - TheBizOfKnowledge.

I hope to see a lot of Filipino bloggers in this list. :)

I wanted to try the food at Mister Kabab ages ago upon hearing it from Isi way back in college. For those who do not know about Mister Kabab, it is located at the corner West Avenue and Quezon Avenue in Quezon City and they serve sumptuous Persian cuisine. A lot of people eat there and we were lucky that there are seats available. One of my friends even told me that it usually takes a long time to be seated inside the restaurant and even if it would take them longer to get a seat there, they would wait for their love of Persian food being served at Mister Kabab. Relive the Bioman Days with the music video of Psycho by Giniling Festival. :D They’ve just released their debut album under Terno Recordings, an indie music label. There are also a lot of unofficial music videos of Siling Giniling in YouTube. (more…)
