Finally, I just made myself a theme from scratch
and have recovered from the headache caused by some typographical error in my CSS code. The theme that I have created has a table-less layout. I’ve tested it in both Firefox and Internet Explorer 6 and it works pretty good in both browsers. I’ve added new plugins like the Flickr RSS plugin, the Show Top Commentators plugin and the Get Recent Comments plugin. I’ve also made some changes with how my Bidvertiser ads show. It seems that it has been the cause of why my page takes too long to load as what Fendi have commented. (more…)
I just signed up for a Twitter account and I’ve noticed that there are no ads in the site. I’m just wondering if they are getting any revenues since I found in their FAQ that:
Twitter is a free service. At some point we may introduce optional, for-pay features or services but basic usage will remain free. Note: with phone alerts turned on, Twitter makes use of texting or SMS so check with your mobile provider to find out if this will cost you extra.
In Steve Rubel’s blog, he mentioned about the possibility of Twitter facing huge SMS bills. I checked the Twittervision and it seems that it has become a worldwide phenomenon. (more…)

Tim Cacho is Imago’s lead guitarist and I got the news from the mailing list that he had an operation this afternoon. I was only able to check my email just this evening and I was shocked from the news since it was unexpected. (more…)
Jaypee was talking about Full RSS feeds versus Partial RSS feeds in his blog. He suggested the Excerpt Reloaded plugin which creates an excerpt in the main page of your blog without having to use the more tag. In my case, I’ve used a lot of more tags in my blog posts and I’ve searched in the Wordpress plugin repository of some plugin that can publish full RSS feeds even if you are using the more tag. Thus, I was able to look for a plugin dubbed as Full Text Feed plugin. Just go to the plugin page and download the file. Extract the zip file and upload the file to your plugins folder. Activate the plugin and it should take affect shortly after you published an entry.

Instead of getting into the iPod hype, I just asked my brother to buy for me an S2 Sports Walkman MP3 Player which I think is better than getting an iPod Nano or an iPod Shuffle. This MP3 player from Sony has a 2GB built-in memory. And if you’re in the mood for music with loaded advertisements, just use the built-in FM tuner. It supports audio formats such as MP3, ATRAC, ATRAC3PLUS, WMA (non-DRM), and AAC (non-DRM).

Is Carl Ocab a Darren Rowse in the making? I’ve stumbled upon his blog while I was checking my recent visitors via MyBlogLog’s widget here in my blog. While I was browsing his blog, I’ve seen that he made a modified Wordpress theme and I commended his modification of the K2 theme making it Adsense ready in my Pinoy.Tech.Blog post. It is indeed a first time for me to read a blog of a thirteen year old who talks about Adsense, search engine optimization (SEO) or anything that is relevant to blog monetization. Check out his blog and maybe you’ll get started monetizing your blog like what he’s doing.

My sister is turning 21 tomorrow and we had an early celebration at Italianni’s in Greenbelt 2. And if someone is celebrating his or her birthday in Italianni’s, a complimentary vanilla ice cream is expected plus the singing and dancing waiters of Italianni’s.
They were singing Happy Birthday to the tune of Palibhasa Lalake theme song. I just don’t get why the waiter is doing an ocho-ocho dance step.
