I just got back yesterday morning from our Ilocos trip. On the first day, we were in Vigan, Ilocos Sur. We roamed around Crisologo Street, Plaza Burgos, Plaza Salcedo and the other museums there. The place is indeed a photographic experience especially for the old school stuff we’ve found inside Crisologo Museum and the Burgos Museum. The Baluarte of Chavit Singson is a haven for animal lovers. You should see there the tigers and have a photo op with the python and experience the mule ride. Climbing the bell tower found in Bantay, Ilocos Sur is also a must for the scenic view of Ilocos Sur. The bells inside the tower have vandals though.

On the second day, we arrived at Laoag and had a tour inside Fort Ilocandia. After the tour, we headed for Pagudpud. Then, we stopped at Bangui and did a little trekking to have a better view of the windmills. There are 15 windmills there that has been used as a source of electricity.

After that, we headed to Saud Beach in Pagudpud and we were disappointed because of the weather because the winds are quite strong and it was raining. We tried swimming there in the morning even though the waves are big. Hehehe. After that, we toured around Pagudpud. We were able to catch the scenic view along the Pagudpud viaduct and have a photo op at Aqua Grande. Paraiso ni Anton were also included in our itinerary and as well as the Blue Lagoon. According to the tricycle driver, Heart Evangelista has a private resort there.

After that, we headed back to Laoag City and hired a tricycle to bring us around Laoag, Batac, Paoay and Sarrat. The only place that disappointed us is the Lataag View Deck. We really didn’t find anything special about the place.
